Because of our extensive experience in composite manufacture and aircraft design GCS is often called upon to strip down, inspect and if necessary repair and refurbish existing aircraft airframes.

Recent projects involved two seperate Extra 300L aerobatic aircraft as well extensive modifications to Edge 540 Red Bull Racer.

The first Extra belongs to Glen Dell, Advanced World Aerobatic Champion and the Red-Bull sponsored pilot for South Africa. This aircraft was refurbished and resprayed in Red Bull colours and currently displays throughout South Africa.

GCS also undertook the aerodynamic modifications for Glen's Edge540 Red Bull Racer for the 2009 season.

The second Extra belongs to Brad Bennetts, manager/pilot for the Mazda Zoom Zoom display team. This aircraft was brought in from overseas and GCS totally stripped the aircraft, repaired some minor transit damage, refurbished and repainted the aircraft in Mazda team colours. The aircraft is used regularly to promote the Mazda brand and is due to partake in the "Haute Voltige" World Grand Prix 2007 for display aerobatics in Japan.
