CAMPS - Civilian Aircraft Missile Protection System

CAMPS was developed in conjuntion with Global Composite Solutions (Pty) Ltd, Naturelink Avaition, SAAB Avitronics and Chemring Countermeasures in an attempt to ensure the future safety of passengers and cargo on civilian aircraft.

Early in 2007, GCS was approached by Naturelink to manufacture the composite pods that house the CAMPS system on aircraft.

The system was tested in Bredasdorp, South Africa earlier this year using an Embraer 120 Aircraft provided by Naturelink, flares by Chemring Countermeasures and the self-protections system by SAAB Avitronics.

The system is currently implemented on a Naturelink Embraer 120 aircraft destined for operations in Africa for the United Nations.
